Who we are Our team Counsellors Counsellors Our counsellors have a wide range of experience in areas such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, loss and bereavement. Human Development Scotland (HDS) is a member of COSCA (Counselling & Psychotherapy in Scotland). All our counsellors are members of professional counselling and psychotherapy organisations. We are always pleased to discuss whether and how we can be of help. Our clinical co-ordinator responds to enquiries in the first instance. If we can help, the clinical co-ordinator will assign the most appropriate counsellor (based on areas of expertise, age, gender and other factors) that supports our clients to work through their thoughts and feelings in order to move forward. We work to the HDS Code of Ethics and to those of any other professional bodies to which our counsellors belong. There is a complaints procedure that covers all HDS services.
