Our vision is for a mentally healthy and emotionally well Scotland. Our mission is to relieve mental and emotional distress by increasing the availability of, and access to, high quality psychodynamic and psychoanalytic counselling and psychotherapy for all who need them. We value our supporters’ time, talent and treasure. We can’t fulfil our mission without volunteers. What can you do? You can volunteer with HDS in a number of ways. For example: Advocate Are you able to give some time to advocating HDS in your workplace, to your peers or to family and friends? An HDS advocate will help with publicising our training programmes and counselling services, for example. This involves pro-active publicity on our behalf (e.g. putting up posters, handing out leaflets, sharing social media posts). If you are interested speaking on our behalf, please contact us. Fundraise If you are passionate about our mission and want to fundraise on our behalf, please let us know and we will support you as best that we can. Together, we can raise the profile of our charity in your community and help relieve mental and emotional distress by increasing the availability of, and access to, high quality psychodynamic and psychoanalytic counselling and psychotherapy for all who need them.
