Are you a counselling professional or know of someone with the capacity to take on new clients?  HDS has seen a growth in its counselling services and we are seeking to add to our team of counsellors.

We are interested in hearing from counsellors who meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a recognised qualification in psychodynamic counselling/psychotherapy.
  • Have at least two years post qualifying experience unless they are students on, or graduates of, an HDS course.
  • Be accredited by a recognised professional body (e.g. ACP, BACP, BASRT, BPC, COSCA, SAPP, UKCP).
  • Be a member of an appropriate professional organisation (e.g. BPC, COSCA, BACP).
  • Demonstrate a commitment to evidenced CPD.
  • Be prepared to take part in an audit processes for the purposes of monitoring and expanding/improving the service.
  • Have supervision by an experienced psychodynamic practitioner.
  • Adherence to HDS Code of Conduct.
  • Relevant insurance of self as a therapist.
  • Access to a suitable consulting room or can travel to the HDS office in Glasgow to use the counselling room.

HDS COUNSELLING SERVICES ARE OPEN

If you’re going through a difficult time for any reason, our counsellors are trained to help you explore your feelings and experiences in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment. 

HDS also works with organisations, large and small, to offer counselling and psychotherapy as part of their Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP).  Our counsellors and therapists have broad experience of working with employees in the public, private and third sectors across Scotland. 

HDS can offer face-to-face, online or telephone counselling.
