Training Professional training Counselling Supervision Course name Certificate in Counselling Supervision (CS) Who is the course aimed at? Practising Counsellors with a Diploma/PG Diploma/Masters In Counselling/Human Relations and Counselling and would like to develop their work as Clinical Counselling Supervisors. Course description This course will introduce practising Counsellors to the essential theoretical concepts of counselling supervision and enable the practice of the skills essential to clinical supervision. The course will provide participants with an opportunity to develop these skills in a safe and supportive environment and set these skills within a theoretical and ethical framework. As with all HDS professional trainings, personal growth, psychodynamic thinking and self-awareness are central to professional clinical development. Within this course the emphasis is on the shift from supervisee to supervisor. Award Post Qualifying Certificate in Counselling Supervision The course has full professional validation by COSCA (Counselling & Psychotherapy in Scotland) Timings Counselling Supervision will next run from January - May 2027 One Saturday a month. Final catch up session October 9th 2027 Entry requirements Diploma/PG Diploma/Masters In Counselling/Human Relations and Counselling. (Any theoretical basis. Please note that, as with all HDS professional trainings, there is an emphasis on psychodynamic thinking.) Costs and funding Fees will be in the region of £900. Fees are reviewed each year. A standard non-refundable application processing fee of £35 applies. Applications will not be processed until the application fee has been received. If you apply for more than one course, the fee is payable for each application submitted.
